Robin Hood Marathon Fundraising

On Sunday 12th September I'll be running the Robin Hood marathon in my home town of Nottingham.  This will be the second time I've run a marathon, the first time being back in 2008 when I completed the Berlin Marathon in Germany.  It was a fantastic experience and I raised £663 for Cancer Research UK as well as finishing in a time of 04:02:23.

To make this event really worth running I've once again chosen Cancer Research as the charity I'd like to raise money for and again I'll be dedicating this run to the memory of my Grandad who did charity work with Cancer Research and who's wife, my Grandma, died from breast cancer many years ago.

This time though I've not only set my fundraising goal higher at £1000 but I'll also be aiming to run sub 04:00:00.  So far my training has been going very well and I really feel I can achieve my time but I need your assistance to help me hit my fundraising target of £1000.  I've never tried to raise this amount of money before but with your generosity I'm sure we can do it.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Even if you don't live in the UK you can still donate using Justgiving and any donations no matter how small will be greatly appreciated so please sponsor me now!
